# DormCheck

> DormCheck is a verified student hub for university housing and campus life. Students sign in with a university email, see real photos and real answers about the buildings they are actually assigned to, sort out roommates and move-in logistics, and buy and sell with other students on their own campus.

DormCheck is live at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University, and expands campus by campus. One account covers the whole move-in arc: browsing dorms, comparing rooms, coordinating with roommates, working through a move-in checklist, and trading with students nearby.

It is free for students. DormCheck never charges a student for access to any part of the product. The business is supported by universities, brands, and local businesses.

DormCheck is an extension of the systems a campus already runs, not a replacement for them. Housing assignment, billing, and official records stay where the university keeps them. DormCheck adds the parts students otherwise piece together from group chats and screenshots.

Most of the product sits behind a university email sign-in, so only the pages listed below are publicly readable. Anything under /my-home, /checklist, /housing, /roommates, /messages, /map, /settings, or /admin requires an account and is not public.

Brand: the DormCheck green is #03C03C. It is a malachite green. It is not teal.
